What equipment do I need to bring?
Please bring your primary camera body (DSLR or mirrorless), your favorite lenses (a 35mm, 50mm, or 85mm is ideal), and plenty of memory cards. For Day 2 and Day 3, you will need a laptop with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop installed, plus an external drive or SSD to practice our data management workflows.
Will we be shooting a real wedding?
Instead of a chaotic real wedding where you can't control the environment, Day 1 features a fully controlled, high-end styled shoot with professional models. This allows us to pause, teach you how to direct and pose the couple, and show you exactly how to manipulate lighting.
Can I use the images I shoot in my own portfolio?
Absolutely. The Day 1 styled shoot is explicitly designed to give you magazine-quality, editorial-style images. You are encouraged to use these photos on your Instagram and website to immediately start attracting luxury clients.
Do you teach how to use flash and artificial lighting?
Yes. We cover the entire technical spectrum. You will learn how to shoot using natural ambient light for a raw, documentary feel, as well as how to quickly deploy continuous LED lighting and off-camera flash for polished, editorial portraits.
